For users who ask us if iDatabase can import FileMaker documents, we must unfortunately answer no. iDatabase does not have a specific functionality for import Filemaker documents. Moreover iDatabase does not have (unlike FileMaker) relational skills. iDatabase is a tool for personal use with the focus on ease of use. Users who want a simple and immediate tool use it.
That said, iDatabase has the ability to import text documents quite flexible. It can import text (e.g. CSV) documents with good results. These text documents can usually be exported from various applications such as FileMaker, Bento, Appleworks and many others, they contain text fields but they don't contain images or other media.
We suggest to people who want to switch from Filemaker to iDatabase to download the trial of the app from our Download page and experiment with it to see if the app fits their needs.
