All the Share and Export features of iDatabase for Mac are available in the Databases window. If you are not in Databases window, then click on the "Databases" button, at the top left of the window.
When you are in the Databases window, select the icon of the database by clicking on it.
Then press and hold the Control key of the keyboard and click again in the database you want to export or share. You will see a contextual menu over the database icon.
Choose the item you need and share or export the database:
- If you plan to use the database with another iDatabase app in another Mac or iPhone, the best export option is iDatabase File.
- If you plan to use the data in another app than iDatabase, the best export format is CSV File, a text file that uses a comma or other separators characters, to separate field values (most applications allow CSV files to be imported).
Alternatively you can also export or share a database when that database is open, just click on the the Share button on the Toolbar.
Then choose the item you need and share or export the database:
- If you plan to use the database with another iDatabase app in another Mac or iPhone, the best export option is iDatabase File.
- If you plan to use the data in another app than iDatabase, the best export format is CSV File, a text file that uses a comma or other separators characters, to separate field values (most applications allow CSV files to be imported).
