The app don’t provide encryption of data. An optional privacy feature allows you to protect the app with a simple Access Code. If this option is selected, a password dialog box will be displayed when iDatabase opens.

To access the app if you forgot the access code, you have to restore it to factory defaults. This operation involves the loss of iDatabase's settings only (your data is save). This is the procedure:

1. Quit iDatabase if it's running.

2. Hold the Option key and use the “Go” menu in the Finder to show Library.

3. When you are inside the folder Library, delete this file to reset all the app settings:

(if you have a recent Mac):

Containers / com.apimac.iDatabaseMac / Data / Library / Preferences / com.apimac.iDatabaseMac.plist

(if you have an old Mac):

Preferences
/ com.apimac.iDatabaseMac.plist

4. Launch the app and wait until it recreates the necessary resources, it might take some time.

5. You're done!
